Our Story

The Tree Group has been running for a couple of decades and was previously managed by Bob Beale and then Mike Bacon.

Originally located on private land in Charlton Kings it moved to the current site at Midwinter Allotments in 2021.

It is currently administered by a group

of five volunteers.

Working parties can be up to 15 people but sometimes as little as 3. We are friendly and inclusive with no age limits, some people prefer administrative duties whilst other dig digging, weeding, pruning and

general tree husbandry.

It's a great way of learning to identify native tree species of which we have over 25 on the plot. Get involved!
